The Family Recovery Process

Malachi 4:6 "And he will turn the heart of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers.." NKJV

Addiction is a disease that has many casualties. It spreads and harms many of those in our lives. This makes healing and forgiveness with loved ones imperative.

Relationships can make or break a person in recovery. That is why Waypoint Center provides one more component to its program: Family Recovery. As families undergo this intense training, they begin to unfold the underlying causes of addiction and break the cycle for generations to come.

Waypoint provides a place to manifest healing and move forward in the rebuilding of family relationships.

Guidelines for Visitation

Each family member must attend Sunday afternoon's family recovery meetings to be allowed to visit Saturday from 1:00 PM till no later than 5:00 PM. There is a sixty-day detachment period that no visitation will be permitted. During the 60 days, family members can attend Family Recovery Classes but may not visit on Saturdays unless approved by the Program Director.

Married couples and their children may visit starting at 1:00 PM Saturday and spend the night as well as attend Church Sunday morning with their husband/father. Then the the family can visit together Sunday and attend the appropriate class Sunday afternoon starting at 2:30 PM and concluding around 4:30.

It is required that the family member call the main office by Wednesday to confirm visitation. The schedule changes as well as room availability. It is the man in the program's responsibility to put a request in for overnight visitations by Monday morning.
